    Network Engineer I / Install Eng (Test and Turn up)

    Location: Naperville, IL; must be onsite

    Contract

    Interview Process: Teams

    Team:

    Service delivery within managed service group, work with enterprise level customers with 1000s of locations and we do their deployments.

    Role

    This role is the engineer who will config, troubleshoot, test and turn up and check out. Work with techs onsite as we move through the deployment.

    This is an entry level NW Engineer role.

    Will work with a technician who is ready for us, and this person will proceed with configs and test and turn up moving their legacy equipment over to our network and hand it over to a service assurance group moving forward.

    Skills:

    Need to have a couple of years experience in a technical role.

    Must have a baseline of NW Skills (LANS, IP Addresses etc.)

    Must have real world examples of things theyve done in a NW Engineering scope we are going to pay attn to detail.

    Need to have a good curiosity around NW engineering and able to learn, Meraki, Aruba, Fortinent. They do not have to have all of these just need to be able to learn.

    Baseline network engineering skills: how modems work, IP addresses, how a LAN works, understanding of certain equipment, voice background would be great.

    Top 3:

    Advanced NW Engineering knowledge (how switches, routers etc operate). LAN/WAN

    Attention to detail and culture fit.
