    Job Title: Facilities & Maintenance Technician I

    Hourly Range: $ $24.00 per hour

    Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

    Location: Off-Premise Storage Facility | Broomfield, CO

    Position Objective

    The Facilities Technician I plays an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and well-functioning facilities across the company. This position supports daily facility operations by performing routine maintenance tasks, completing timely repairs, and responding to maintenance requests with professionalism and care. The Technician I helps ensure facilities remain visually appealing, safe, and operational through hands-on general maintenance work such as painting, patching, minor repairs, and overall upkeep.

    This role is focused on executing assigned tasks in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety requirements, while providing reliable support to internal clients. By addressing day-to-day maintenance needs and escalating more complex issues as needed, the Facilities Technician I contributes to creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for employees, customers, and partners.

    Essential Functions

    Facility Maintenance (60%)

    Identify maintenance issues that exceed the scope of basic repairs and escalate appropriately in accordance with SOPs and vendor management guidelines. Pet Insurance

    Perform routine facility maintenance tasks in strict accordance with company SOPs, safety guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of facilities.

    Complete painting, drywall patching, caulking, minor carpentry, fixture replacement, and general upkeep while ensuring all work meets documented standards and quality expectations.

    Address visible wear and tear by repairing minor structural issues such as damaged walls, doors, trim, flooring, fixtures, and hardware in a compliant and safety-conscious manner.

    Conduct basic plumbing and electrical maintenance within scope (e.g., replacing fixtures, outlets, switches, faucets, and light components) while adhering to approved procedures and escalation protocols.

    Conduct routine facility walkthroughs and inspections to proactively identify maintenance needs, safety risks, or compliance gaps, documenting findings as required.

    Client Support & Project Work (30%)

    Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally, ensuring work is completed in alignment with SOPs, safety standards, and operational requirements.

    Support facility projects such as carpentry, painting, drywall repair, fixture installation, and minor renovations while maintaining compliance with building standards and internal policies.

    Complete small-scale improvement projects (e.g., restroom refreshes, office modifications, fixture replacements) with attention to detail, quality workmanship, and adherence to established procedures.

    Coordinate with internal teams to plan and execute maintenance work in a manner that minimizes operational disruption and maintains compliance.

    Serve as a professional representative of the Facilities team, demonstrating a customer-focused approach while upholding company standards and compliance expectations.

    Safety, Compliance, & Documentation (10%)

    Consistently follow all Standard Operating Procedures, safety protocols, and compliance requirements related to facility maintenance and site operations.

    Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, inspections, and identified issues in accordance with recordkeeping standards.

    Participate in required safety, compliance, and SOP training to remain current on policies and expectations.

    Support audit readiness by maintaining clean workspaces, compliant repairs, and proper documentation.

    Promote a safety-first mindset and proactively report hazards or compliance concerns.

    Education and Experience

    High school diploma or GED required; vocational training or coursework in facilities maintenance, construction trades, or a related field preferred.

    1-3+ years of hands-on experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or a similar role.

    Demonstrated ability to perform basic maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall patching, minor carpentry, and general facility upkeep.

    Working knowledge of light electrical and plumbing tasks within scope, such as replacing fixtures, outlets, switches, faucets, and light components.

    Experience responding to and completing work orders in a timely and organized manner, with the ability to follow written instructions and documented procedures.

    Familiarity with following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and compliance requirements in a structured work environment.

    Ability to identify issues that exceed basic maintenance scope and appropriately escalate to senior technicians, supervisors, or external vendors.

    A clean Motor Vehicle Record is required to operate company vehicles and maintain safety standards.

    Working Conditions (Schedule, Environment, Travel)

    Ability to obtain and maintain an active Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) badge in the state of Colorado.
