Job Description Job DescriptionLes S. Kushner, P.A. is looking for a CPA to join our accounting and law practice.

The ideal candidate is either looking for work/life balance and needs a flexible or even reduced schedule for 10 months out of the year but can work (reasonable) tax season hours OR is looking to develop a tax practice and desires to bring in additional business for which they would be compensated.

Responsibilities Include:

Prepare and primarily review individual, corporate, partnership, foundation, trust, and estate tax returnsPrepare financial statements (compilations)Perform tax planning for individuals and small businessesWork closely with tax and accounting staffReview of tax and accounting work of staffPrepare/Review payroll and sales tax returnsWork and communicate effectively with our professional teamBe able to research and apply, from our various available resources, solutions to our clients in the areas of taxation and IRS notices and correspondence while working with our tax team.

Create and work with various IRS, Florida Department of Revenue and other governmental correspondenceWork directly with clients via phone, email and in personBe friendly, professional and courteous with clientsA willingness to learn different software systems as well as tax and accounting client service processes and systems in an ongoing effort to become continuously more efficient and competitive within the industryQualifications Include:

An active CPA license (Florida), or completion of license within one year - preferredMinimum 3+ years of experience working in tax preparation and tax related issuesSolid understanding of accounting principlesExperience with ProSeries tax software a plusExperience with QuickBooks preferredProficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word programsCompany Description Les S.
