Our client, $4B+ global leader in agriculture is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team

The Senior Accountant is responsible for preparing and concentrating on account reconciliations, conducting financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Their main duties include coordinating fixed asset transactions and managing reports, aiding in the preparation of external reports, and meticulously reviewing and validating journal entries and accounting classifications.

Responsibilities:

Prepares monthly journal entries and month-end analyses as well as various exhibits and commentary required for reports issued to management, outside Directors and government agencies.

Coordinates & reviews fixed asset capitalizations, retirements and transfers for all NA locations.
Prepares consolidated analyses of various account balances and maintain files of supporting workpapers.
Assists with special projects, year-end activities and related duties.
Prepares written procedures on job responsibilities.
Participate in audits as required.
Maintains and updates Policies and Procedures.
Provides guidance to junior accounting staff.
Evaluates and recommends improvements to accounting procedures and systems.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in accounting
CPA candidate preferred
3-6 years' accounting experience
Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
Ability to function effectively while meeting deadlines
Strong interpersonal, communication and administrative skills
Proficient with Microsoft Windows environment and have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Applications
