    M Health Fairview is looking for their next RN to join the Medical Oncology team at the Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN Are you ready to join our team?


    The Med/Surg Oncology Unit RN at Ridges Hospital is a 28 Bed unit that cares for adult patients with a wide range of medical and surgical oncology needs including; but not limited to administering chemotherapy, complications of cancer therapy, surgical interventions and remote tele patients.

    In addition to oncology patients, this unit will see a variety of medical and surgical conditions.


    This position works 48 hours in two weeks or .6 FTE, 12-hour shifts, night (7pm-7:30am) shift, and working every third weekend.

    Position reports to Nurse Manager

    Unit supported by nursing assistants or NST's on all shifts.

    Responsibilities Job Description


    The registered nurse is responsible for providing patient and family centered nursing care following established standards, professional practice guidelines and MN Nurse Practice act.

    The nurse will have an essential role in coordinating care with physicians, care coordinators, patients, and families and delegates responsibilities as appropriate.

    Epic is used for computerized medical records charting. The RN on this unit will assist with end of life care.

    Qualifications


    Required Qualifications:
    Willing to consider new grads

    MN RN licensure by start date

    BLS for health care providers

    Excellent critical thinking skills

    Strong communication skills both in person and via phone/emails

    Comfortable using computers

    Must be able to work in a team environment and able to delegate


    Preferred qualifications:
    BSN or willingness to obtain in near future

    RN work experience in an acute or sub-acute setting

    Experience working in a team and delegating

    Experience working in a support role (if no experience as an RN) NA, PCA, NST or similar

    Familiarity with EPIC


    Desired Skills:
    Excellent customer service

    Proficient in the English language

    Attention to detail

    Ability to problem solve effectively
