    Job Title R&D Material Engineer Job Description


    As an R&D Material Engineer you will be part of a team performing materials compatibility and characterization testing and providing reports to support assigned project teams.


    Your role:


    Leading development teams through materials and adhesive selections to support new product development projects, while evaluating the compatibility of newly identified disinfection and cleaning materials used by customers.

    Collaborating with the Reliability Engineering team to develop enclosure, adhesive, and acoustic materials to improve physical and chemical resistance of the new transducer products.

    Completing testing and generating data and reports for the successful completion of materials biocompatibility and compatibility testing into our Product Development Process.

    Providing ongoing support for released products through materials testing and root cause analysis investigation, while working with external suppliers to develop capability, identify innovative new materials for improved performance, and deliver final parts that meet material requirements.

    Performing fabrication Process/Materials R&D Engineering for new product development initiatives/teams that span the full range of development from feasibility studies to stable production.


    You're the right fit if:
    You've acquired 5+ years of experience in Injection Molding, Product Development, or Physical Chemistry Analysis.

    Your skills include knowledge of manufacturing process development and tooling development as well as proficiency with the MS Office suite, Minitab and MATLAB.

    You have a BS in Biomedical Engineering, Materials/Polymer Science, Chemistry or other applicable Engineering disciplines.
    You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this

    position .
    You're a self-starter, highly motivated, are organized and have and strong time management.

    You have excellent analytical skills, as well as interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interface with customers, vendors and engineers from different disciplines.
