    As a Team Leader for Ultrasound, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and facilitation of US Department to successfully complete provider ordered US procedures and associated tasks according to protocol and by collaborating with Radiologist & Medical Providers as necessary.

    You will function as an extension of the Manager & Director Medical Imaging to carry out assigned tasks, problem solve, and send equivalent communications.

    You will cooperate with leadership to assist in carrying out essential departmental responsibilities, hospital policies & procedures, and other duties as assigned.

    You will be responsible for:


    Provides direct patient care, ensures high quality patient care from self and US staff, and conducts self in a professional & respectful manor with all others at all times leading by example.

    Assumes responsibility of designated area, communicates leadership information to staff efficiently by sending same message to achieve clear understanding, and provides clinical instruction as appropriate.

    Facilitates appropriate staffing to patient volumes/schedules within a safe environment and flex staff as appropriate.

    Ensures fairness when facilitating staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage at all times that includes rotations of major holidays, weekends, call, and PTO.

    Orients and trains newly hired US Technologists.
    Complies with all regulatory standards pertaining to departmental safety/protection.
    Maintains records for compliance with quality control/assurance activities and regulatory agencies.
    Responsible for ordering routine supplies and maintaining par levels within US.

    Participates in departmental events, attends departmental meetings, provides input/feedback as required/necessary, performs performance reviews and coaching as appropriate, and assists with maintaining a high level of staff morale.

    Responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance, submits request for service as required/needed, and communicates updates to both the Manager & Director.

    Evaluates accuracy and quality of imaging for self and staff including procedure/supply charges for billing purposes.
    Responsible for US ACR accreditation; application & imaging submissions to remain in compliance.

    Review and stay up-to-date on US protocols by consulting with Radiologist and Medical Physicist as applicable to ensure adherence to current standards of practice.


    What you will need:
    Graduate of an ARRT approved US program or American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
    Registered US Technologist with 2-years' experience within a hospital setting; 1-2 years supervisory experience preferred.
    ARRT or ARDMS and BLS required.
