This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
- Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other technical degree 3+ years of experience with UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows development environment 3+ years of experience programming in C++ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with JAVA
- Experience developing embedded (real-time) software
- Experience with bus communications and protocols including MIL-STD-1553
- Experience with Electromagnetic Support Measures (ESM), Passive Trackers and/or Link16
- Experience with open architecture constructs like Open Mission Systems (OMS)

Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for Software Engineer (Mission Systems) to join the KC-46 Tanker Mission Systems Avionics (MSA) software team located in Tukwila, WA, within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS); Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) organization.
The MSA team supports U.S.Air Force and international KC-46 customers and other platforms, providing integrated hardware and software solutions that provide tactical situational awareness to the flight crew and on-board network systems.
The latter enables net-centric applications and beyond line of sight communication for the warfighter via secure and non-secure ground networks during KC-46 aerial refueling missions.
This position will include a variety of software development assignments, such as new capability development, delivered capability upgrades, defect correction, and proof-of-concept prototyping via Internal Research and Development (IR&D) activities.
The successful candidate enjoys working collaboratively with others, has a commitment to customer satisfaction, quality and process improvement, and is successful working in a multi-contract/multi-project environment.
