- Provide technical support to the Sentinel Combined Test Force (CTF) Lead Developmental Test & Evaluation Organization (LDTO) in development test and evaluation (DT&E) activities for AF Nuclear Weapons Center missile systems.
- Support Sentinel and or Minuteman III developmental test efforts to assess performance against stated program requirements.
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary government and contractor team to plan, test, analyze, and report through multiple program acquisition phases.
- Support test planning to include development of test objectives, test and data requirements, identify potential attack surface/vectors, test configurations, test and analysis plans, and supporting schedules.
- Conduct vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, and provide assessment reports as directed.
- Researches new threats, vulnerabilities, security technologies, and countermeasures and provides mitigation and remediation recommendations.
- Provide cyber security technical expertise and analysis to identify potential risk areas.
- Develop applications to automate testing in Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems, including bash and Powershell.
- Review source code for security flaws.
- Develop reports and presentations for both technical and executive audiences.
- Apply technical knowledge in specific areas to integrate test and modeling products and support weapon system evaluation related to areas of expertise.
- Lead and mentor junior team members as assigned.
- Maintain cognizance of all assigned CTF/Test Team engineering activities
- Must have or be able to obtain a Top Secret Clearance or have an active and transferrable clearance with active investigation.
- A Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, Network or Computer Engineering degree and at least 7 years of experience required, some of which includes penetration testing.
- Other related degrees will be considered, and 10 years of additional experience can be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
- CISSP certification is highly desired but not required.
- Can finish CISSP while working with Axient.
- Familiarization with Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems is required.
- Strong working knowledge of networking and network protocols like TCP/IP, UDP, ARP, DNS, and DHCP is required.
- Experience with a suite of vulnerability assessments tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Netcat, Nessues, ACAS, etc is required.
- Familiarization of exploits and vulnerabilities which goes beyond automated approaches is desired.
- Personal and organizational interactions exhibit and foster cooperation and teamwork, enhance customer relations, and actively promote rapport with customers.
- Verbal and written communications are clear, concise, and at appropriate level.
- Utilize resources effectively to accomplish mission, including ability to work effectively alone, unsupervised, or within a group.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
- Focused adherence to safety and security requirements.
- Familiarity with test & evaluation planning and processes consistent with DoD acquisition directives and policies is highly desired.
- Familiarity with ICBM weapon systems and related subsystems/equipment, their projected use in the military, and methods of testing is highly desired.
