    Responsibilities

    The Director, People and Employee Relations will play a vital role in providing innovative strategic direction for InnovAge's human capital requirements during the company's significant growth stage as well as position the organization to become an employer of choice. Will serve as a strategic business partner to the corporate shared services functions. This leader is accountable for Human Resources strategy, design and implementation across the assigned client group.

    Location: On-site at our San Bernardino facility, 410 Park Center Circle, San Bernardino, CA

    Travel: Travel to our CA facilities (LA, Sacramento, San B and 2 more coming soon)

    Employee Population: 400+
    • Advise and coach business leaders on talent and organizational effectiveness topics to achieve business objectives while also consulting on policy, culture, and legal issues impacting the division.
    • Possess a keen understanding of the business strategy, market factors, and financial position to influence leadership on people strategies that add value, notable to the business's bottom line.
    • Coach and develop HR business partners to shape short and long-term people strategies that promote the highest level of employee and organizational performance for their region, support the execution of job responsibilities at a high-performance level, and ensure professional development and career growth.
    • Promote and lead a vision for the future of the InnovAge workforce by developing and executing a lifecycle approach to people management focused on forecasting, staffing, development, on-boarding, performance management, retention, succession planning, talent movement, engagement, and leveraging workforce insights and analytics.
    • Focus on hourly employee strategies, notably assisting with compensation program enhancements to ensure Innovage remains competitive and the business' ability to attract top talent is sustained.
    • Passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion and accountable to shape how programs and strategic initiatives will be successfully applied and advanced.
    • Leverage workforce insights and analytics to assess and recommend solutions to various stakeholders, including senior management.
    • Driven to maintain a superior level of HR technical expertise, including tracking critical external trends and best practices that should be evaluated and implemented in the Region.
    • Provides direction and policy to ensure equitable and consistent treatment of employees across all locations, in line with InnovAge company policy - and adapted where needed.
    • Lead all people-programs to drive growth including mergers or acquisitions, organic site expansion, or interactions with internal or external partners on various business models.
    • Member of the HR leadership team providing input and guidance on enterprise people programs and overall enterprise strategic direction, including leading initiatives as delegated by HR leadership.
    REQUIRED
    • 10 years Management with evidence of career progression and managing teams
    • This role requires is on site presence at our San Bernardino location plus travel other California locations.
    • 7 years in Human Resources
    • Specific California experience in Employee Relations required, coaching employees and leaders in employee relations issues, training, taking concerns and complaints
    • Experience in investigating employee complaints including harassment, discrimination and retaliation
    • Bachelor's Degree required, or related experience in Human Resources, business or another related field
    • Demonstrable experience to build, lead, and deliver effective people programs, with measurable outcomes, being proactive to spot issues and have a bias for action to implement recommendations.
    • Experience with consulting senior leaders on people and leadership topics, while being an advocate of employees from both an internal culture and external brand value proposition standpoint.
    • People Leader: Ability to build teams, motivate them to accomplish goals, and lead through influence at all levels.
    • HR Technical: Knowledge of, federal, and local employment laws affecting employment, plus best practices in talent, leadership and learning management, and when to seek counsel from specialists.
    • Data-driven: Leverage HR metrics and ability to draw insights to enable informed decision making.

    Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
