    Overview:

    Bergmann, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Civil/Site team in Lansing, MI

    Our team of Civil/Site professionals regard our clients as a strategic partner. Whether facilitating a large retail complex, residential development or planning a small stand-alone establishment in a downtown business district, we embrace the vision while guiding the client through the development process. Our expertise in implementing proven strategies and experience with the regulatory process eliminates costly delays that ensure the vision unfolds seamlessly. Our partnership includes the advantage of having our comprehensive suite of in-house services at the client's disposal, which keeps design timelines on track.

    Responsibilities:
    • Designing land development projects using Civil 3D including site, grading, and utilities
    • Willing and interested to learn how to design these systems
    • Potential to take an active leadership role and guide junior staff in the development of the project
    • Work closely with the Infrastructure department to help with utility coordination and municipal utility design for complex highway and bridge projects throughout the country
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
    • 5+ years or more of related experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
    • Experience with MicroStation, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-HMS/-RAS, OpenRoads, and InRoads is a plus
    • Understanding of how storm water management systems function
    • PE licensed or working towards licensure is preferred
    • Ability to work closely with others and also independently
    • Prior experience with business development, project management, client facing and estimating costs is a plus
    • Proficiency in technical skills in stormwater management, hydraulics, hydrological analysis, grading and other site development related designs
