Job summary
The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) will support plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility to donate plasma management of donor adverse events review of laboratory test results and donor notification of unsuitable test results.
This person will be familiar with regulations of the plasma collection industry or a manufacturing environment follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies including the development of Standing Orders for donors transport to emergency care facilities refer to the Physician or Medical Affairs when needed provide unacceptable findings to donors or guidance concerning medical technical issues including donor safety eligibility support Hepatitis B Seasonal Flu vaccination programs manage employee incidents determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health ER can also act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized.
