    Description

    The University of Miami Health System, Miller School of Medicine is in search of a non-tenure earning Assistant Professor on the clinical educator track for the Cerebrovascular Division, Department of Neurology.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
    Strong clinical and research background in Cerebrovascular Diseases
    Involved in clinical care of patients at the UHealth clinics, University of Miami Hospital, and Jackson Memorial Hospital
    Participate in research projects, educational and mentorship activities of the Cerebrovascular Division and the Department of Neurology
    Care for patients in the Jackson Health System inpatient settings
    Train/mentor physicians, staff,
    Preparation and presentation at teaching conferences
    Develop a research program in Cerebrovascular Diseases
    Obtain data and results that can be used to submit an application for future clinical research awards

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    MD degree from a recognized accredited University (or foreign equivalent)
    Stroke Neurology Fellowship is preferred
    Board certification in Neurology is strongly recommended
    Eligible for Florida medical license
    Good communications skills (face to face, over the phone and in writing)
    Excellent customer service skills
    Ability to work collaboratively with other employees
