- · Oversees workers who maintain and fix equipment like motors, pumps, conveyors, and packaging machinery.
- · Orders tools, equipment, and supplies.
- · Checks completed work to ensure it matches blueprints and standards.
- · Reviews production schedules to estimate how many workers are needed for tasks.
- · Sets or adjusts work methods to meet production timelines.
- · Explains company rules to workers and ensures safety rules are followed.
- · Proposes changes to improve efficiency and working conditions.
- · Solves work issues or helps workers solve them.
- · Plans ways to motivate workers to meet goals.
- · Talks with other supervisors to coordinate department activities.
- · Enters accurate data into maintenance computer programs.
- · Suggests which parts to keep in stock or remove.
- · Follows all safety rules and works safely.
- · Can work weekends or different shifts if needed.
- · Performs any other tasks as assigned.
- · High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required.
- · 2 years of related food manufacturing experience and/or training, required.
- · Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
