HEALTHCARE CONSULTANT

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Works with healthcare organizations to maximize efficiency and improved patient safety, serves as a management analyst that examines the efficiency, profits and structure of the organization, then offer suggestions on methods of improvement.

JOB TASKS:

• Complete and maintain accurate medical chart reviews for various healthcare organizations
• Perform assessments and/or intake functions by interviewing healthcare organizations leadership's teams.
• Counsel healthcare to assist in identifying quality improvement areas.
• Develop client corrective action plans based on research, clinical experience, and organization histories.
• Conduct regulatory compliance orientation sessions.
• Participate in case conferences or staff meetings.
• Coordinate survey readiness activities with various health professional (s), such as doctors, nurses, clinical supervisor or social workers.
• Review and evaluate healthcare organizations progress in relation to measurable goals described in corrective action plan.
• Write policy and procedures in accordance with state and federal guidelines based on the assessed need of the healthcare organization
• Plan or implement follow- up visits for healthcare organization(s) based on corrective action plan.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be Registered Nurse with active license in Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New
Jersey
Must have current professional liability insurance
Must have current CPR
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be willing to travel

Must be certified by the Institute of Management Consultants USA with Certified Management Consultant (CMC) designation, 5-7 years previous experience in lieu of designation.

Must obtain certification within 1 year of employment
Certified Professional Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) highly perfered
One year of healthcare consulting experience
Excellent computer skills to include all Microsoft Office application (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
Excellent written and oral communication

Ability to work with a team of professionals and have the ability to implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
