    In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

    Supporting the Office of Regulatory Relations and advising businesses and corporate functions in connection with all aspects of BNY Mellons regulatory and supervisory relationships, including regulatory policy and supervisory examinations,with one of the main focus areas being distributed ledger technology (DLT) and digital assets;Identifying emerging supervisory trends and advising businesses and corporate functions on supervisory expectations;Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on regulatorypolicydevelopments, supervisory guidance, rulemakings, and consultations;Partnering with lines of business and corporate functions to identify regulatoryand policypriorities, assess impact and opportunities, and develop company positions;Driving proactive internal regulatory strategy and external communications; andPreparing speakers and materials for supervisory and regulatory interactions.

    To be successful in this role, were seeking the following:

    This attorney will work closely with colleagues in the Legal Department, Office of Regulatory Relations, corporate functions, and Digital Asset Businessin developing and executing on BNY Mellons regulatory and supervisory strategy.3-7 years of legal experience at federal banking or regulatory agency, law firm, trade association or large financial institution;Strong working knowledge of the financial services industry and U.S.

    banking agencies;Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and experience working directly with regulators;Strong understanding of DLT and digital assets, including tokenized assets, stablecoins, and central bank digital currencies;Excellent analytical and oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex regulations;Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and time sensitive issues;Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams;Flexible and adaptable to changing issues and regulatory priorities; andProactive self-starter that demonstrates initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness to work independently.

    BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees.

    The base salary for this position is expected to be between $111,000 and $215,000 per year at the commencement of employment.

    However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.

    This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
