    Job Summary:


    The role of Merchandiser is to support the commercial logistic and trading activities for Green Bison Soy Processing LLC in Spiritwood ND, which is a joint venture between ADM (75%) and Marathon Petroleum Corp (25%).


    Also, the Merchandiser will work closely with ADM Ag Service and Oilseed teams to maximize company truck freight and trading opportunities.

    There is a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration in this position in an effort to maximize the business activities within GBSP while leveraging the ADM network.


    Responsibilities:


    Responsible for managing the daily truck logistic activity for all inbound and outbound shipments for the Spiritwood facility in collaboration with ADM and customer.

    Responsible for growing and maintaining relationships with producer and commercial elevator accounts

    Origination responsibilities will be primary focus to soybeans, also including but not limited to, sunflowers, dry edible beans, canola and fertilizer

    Secure a new customer base with strategic focus on soybean meal and pelletized hulls within the Animal Ag market segment

    Expand sales with existing customer base through call frequency while leveraging the ADM network

    Drive excellence in quality and customer service as key competitive differentiators

    Understand grower economics, processing capabilities and logistical infrastructure to develop a cost effective strategy.

    Assimilation of supply and demand information, including market trends, and communicating them to the broader organization

    Develop a working knowledge of the customers operation as it relates to product marketing and logistics. This may include how local markets might provide selling opportunities, and how tailored risk management solutions might meet specific marketing goals for our customer

    Engage with operational, accounting and administrative staff to ensure execution excellence, timely and accurate settlements and contract management

    Required Knowledge and Skills:
    University Degree in Agriculture or related field of study

    1+ years of experience in commodity trading and or logistics

    Computer competence, especially use of email, Salesforce, Future Source, AGRIS, IBM, and internal web based applications

    Demonstrated capacity to excel in a fast paced environment

    This position requires working at a desk both on a telephone and at a computer for prolonged periods of time

    Some overnight travel required with this position
