    Project Manager

    JDRoss is currently seeking experienced project managers for a permanent direct hire position in Chicago. This role offers the opportunity to work with a prominent renewable energy development company.

    Summary

    The Project Manager will lead late-stage development, construction, and commissioning of various renewable energy projects, overseeing internal stakeholders, construction professionals, safety officers, and inspectors to ensure safety, quality, and financial milestones are met.

    Some Duties include

    • Lead project risk assessments and develop strategies for risk mitigation.
    • Drive stakeholder engagement and ensure accountability through regular reporting.
    • Manage project budgets, cash flow, and financial workstreams proactively.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams throughout project phases.
    • Build and manage a high-performing onsite construction and commissioning team for renewable energy projects.
    • Monitor, update, and submit internal project reports regularly.
    • Collaborate with development team members to support projects transitioning into contracting phases.

    Previous Experience Required

    • A minimum of 4 years of experience in renewable energy or have successfully managed at least 3 wind, BESS, and/or solar farm construction projects.
    • A Strong understanding of construction safety requirements; OSHA 30-Hour qualification preferred.
    • Experience managing construction QA/QC programs on renewable energy projects.
    • Minimum of 6 years of renewable energy experience or completion of at least 3 wind, BESS, and/or solar farm construction projects as a project manager.
    • Proficiency in at least three of the following areas: civil construction, structural/foundation construction, electrical construction, turbine erection/solar module assembly, testing & commissioning, financial/tax equity closes, and utility commercial operation designations.
    • Familiarity with managing renewable energy project contracts.
    • Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance/Accounting, or Business Management preferred
