Our perfect candidate will thrive in a fun and casual environment, pay it forward daily, and add value to the company by developing and maintaining proprietary processing equipment across the HoneyBaked store network, at our eCommerce operation(s), and in use at our suppliers.
The role will be responsible for developing, documenting, and delivering regular inspections and training to ensure ongoing optimal operation of proprietary equipment.
WHAT THIS ROLE DOES
Supports equipment design, modification, and conversion projects for proprietary equipment used at retail stores and at suppliers to includebut not be limited toslicing equipment.
Across the retail store network
At eCommerce operation(s)
At suppliers using our equipment
Regularly inspects proprietary equipment in use at suppliers and ensures training/retraining occurs to ensure optimal ongoing operation of equipment.
Supports the development and management of processes required to support the use of proprietary slicing equipment including but not limited to:
Asset control and tracking
Supplier maintenance procedures
Spare parts inventory and repair process management
Slicer data transfer and management
PLC software version control and management
Supports the maintenance of records and historical equipment archives related to proprietary equipment, rationale for design choices, and protecting the company's intellectual property.
Supports Procurement Distribution and Food Safety and Quality Assurance functions related to supplier management and new product development.
Serves as the company's subject matter expert in slicer repair and maintenance.
Performs other duties as required by business and departmental requirements.
YOUR TRACK RECORD
Associate or Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline, with 4+ years' experience in equipment engineering support and/or equipment maintenance experience spanning electrical and mechanical components.
Experience that is strongly preferred for this role includes:
- experience in a food processing environment
- familiarity with USDA regulatory requirements
- experience with machine controls (programming and troubleshooting)
- experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs
- experience with machine shop equipment (mills, lathes, power tools)
WHAT ELSE TO KNOW?
Requires regular out-of-town travel to supplier locations for servicing of, and training on, proprietary HBH equipment and periodic out-of-town travel for other reasons.
Travel estimated to be approximately 30%.Requires limited personal time off during the holiday season andperiodic work in extreme conditions common to food processing, including noisy and cold temperature environments.
