    Overview



    This position is responsible to maintain regulatory and professional standards and exhibit strong decision-making capabilities.

    A close working relationship with Radiology leadership, radiologists, and the medical staff is required to maintain a cost-effective and patient-focused service.

    This position is responsible to provide care for patients undergoing Mammography procedures using the approved workflows and procedural protocols. Student Mammographers in this position are required to assist with quality assurance related to MQSA, FDA, and ACR Accreditation. Student Mammographers in this position are able to demonstrate full knowledge of Mammography equipment. Talent Pool; Allied Health



    Responsibilities


    Performs routine and special exams consistent with established protocols to minimize additional imaging and limit radiation dose to as low as reasonably achievable.

    Exam productivity is within established benchmark.

    Consistently completes all exams and documentation in CHL and PACS. Consistently and accurately identifies all charges associated with studies. Addresses errors and resolves issues related to final product being sent to PACS.

    Exemplary model using AIDET, service excellence and service recovery.

    Assists with patient transport as necessary.

    Consistently demonstrates commitment to safe practices and supports Just Culture.

    Commitment to use Two for Two to accurately identify patients, follows procedures to avoid laterality errors, eliminate falls and ALARA.

    Completes all annual competencies by designated timeframe.



    Qualifications




    EDUCATION:High School Diploma or equivalent, Required
    Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging or related educational program. Successfully completed 28 hours of mammography classroom education.


    EXPERIENCE:

    0-1 year, Healthcare - Diagnostic Technologist, Required
    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/
    LISTING:
    REQUIRED
    ARRT (R) | Radiologic Technologist - Dx
    ARRT (R)(M) | MAMMOGRAPHY
    BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
    Must successfully pass ARRT Mammography Registry within 12 months of accepting this position.

    Must have required credentials and maintain at all times.
