    Description

    Position: Electrical Engineer - Generation Station Protective Relaying


    Company: Leading organization in the power industry


    Are you an Electrical Engineer specialized in generation station protective relaying?
    This role involves designing and engineering generation station relay replacements/retrofits and new installations. The ideal candidate should be eligible to obtain a PE license.


    • Proficiency in relay settings and calculations for various protection schemes using SEL, Beckwith, and GE relays.
    • Familiarity with relay manufacturer software such as SEL, Beckwith, and GE.
    • Design and review of drawings including one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Experience in protective device coordination ranging from 480V to 500kV relays.
    • Knowledge in performing NERC PRC evaluations and reviews like PRC-025 and PRC-019.
    • Familiarity with ETAP/SKM or similar system analysis software.
    • Field Testing and Commissioning experience is a bonus (Relay testing, troubleshooting, etc.).
    • Writing test and checkout procedures.
    • Specification of equipment such as protective relays, CT/PTs, etc.
    • Familiarity with IEEE standards.

    Travel Required: Yes, occasional one or two-day site visits and provide commissioning support.
