Description
Assures optimum quality patient care by serving as resource person for other staff members, patient and family. Coordinates patient care with other departments. Assists physician.Performs assessment skillsPlans nursing careIntervenes with appropriate action after needs are identifiedEvaluates the assessment, planning and intervention processDemonstrates professional and personal developmentDelivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served including adult and geriatric patients
Reports to:
Director Medical-Surgical Services
Minimum EducationGraduate of a Program in Discipline - RequiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Certifications:
□ Basic Life Support (BLS) - to be obtained within 30 days.
Required Licenses[West Virginia, United States] Other
Current licensure by WV State Board of Nursing -or- current compact license.
