    Litehouse is seeking a strategic and experienced full-time Data Engineer III to join our team. This is a remote position.


    As a member of the Information Technology team, the Data Engineer III is responsible for development, testing, and deployment of data centric technology components. You have an advanced knowledge in the methodologies, technologies and industry best practices associated with process analysis, ETL/ELT development and Change Data Capture (CDC). The position will participate in requirement specifications with the business and will contribute to the overall design and implementation of the evolving enterprise software and data solutions. You will work with the business to proactively understand their data requirements and will own the development life-cycle required for implementing the desired solution. The Data Engineer III will be responsible for delivery, provide guidance to more junior Data Engineers, and provide guidance related to best practices. This role assists with design and deployment of new data solutions and works closely with other Data Engineers on architectural design of data engineering processes.


    Essential Functions

    • Develops and maintains data pipelines including solutions for data collection, transformation, aggregation, management, metadata, and usage leading to performant and easy to use data models.
    • Analyzing large datasets to identify gaps and inconsistencies, provide data insights, and advance continuous improvement in the quality of our data assets.
    • Participates in full SDLC for our data engineering solutions - requirements, development, testing and training and support.
    • Partners with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements, plans and execute projects, and communicate status, risks and issues.
    • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
    • Works with the team to document data lineage and overall data flow architecture that ease consumption of our data assets.
    • Breaks down work into estimable pieces and delivers accurate and consistent difficulty estimates.
    • Working experience with MDM, ETL and data engineering.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in related field (Information Technology, Information Systems, and/or Computer Science) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 10+ years' progressive experience working as a software engineer and/or data analytics development or programming management.
    • 10+ years' experience with complex relational data models and very large data sets
    • 4+ years' experience deploying Kimball Method (Dimensions and Facts) for defining, building, and sustaining Data Warehouse Systems and Architecture.
    • Preferred certifications: AWS Certified Solution Architect and/or Certified Analytics Professional (CAP)

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

    • Advanced knowledge of reporting platforms (Power BI or Tableau), databases, SQL, Quantrix, and Excel.
    • Expert in ETL concepts and tools.
    • Ability to work in cloud computing environments.
    • Knowledge of data platforms and data structures.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong organizational skills and high attention to details.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
