Registered Nurse (RN) - Educator

Responsibilities:

Two years of experience teaching nursing or nursing related programs to adults in an academic setting
Completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners or a New York State Education Department Teachers Certification/Train the trainer preferred
Precepts and orients new and existing staff, providing ongoing evaluations, performing field visits and providing educational sessions to ensure competency in the home health setting as per agency standards, federal and state regulations, ANA Standards of Practice for Home Health and Best Practice.
Performs other duties as assigned
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education and Training
Instruct NYS PCA certification classes in our Niagara/Erie
Assist in developing, updating and maintaining training material and curriculum for PCAs as needed.
Assists in the agency's continuing education/in-service program and field competency testing of all clinical staff.
May also be responsible for the direction, coordination and direct supervision of the agency's paraprofessional staff and private duty/shift nursing services.
Efficient function as a mobile employee, able to service multiple units
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, turning.

Minimum Qualifications:

To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree or Diploma Nursing.
Current and valid Registered Professional Nurse license and registration years Certified Home Health Agency.
Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, teaching, presentation skills.
Critical thinking skills.
Customer service skills.
Working knowledge of Computers.
