    Job Duties


    Provides direct patient care and general supervision to geropsychiatric patients; identifies and responds to patients' immediate personal needs, and communications and interacts with patients throughout all shifts, to ensure continuity of care and safety.

    Assists professional staff in providing therapeutic activities in a psychosocial treatment environment. This position safely transports/escorts patients to medical appointments, psychosocial activities and outings, to site visits, and discharge sites.

    Minimum Qualifications


    • Valid Driver's License
    • Basic computer knowledge
    • Licensure as a Certified Nurse Assistant by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
    • Experience as a Nursing Assistant
    Additional Considerations


    • Skills in providing direction and assistance to patients in activities of daily living is
    preferred.


    • Knowledge of developmental and psychiatric disorders is preferred.
    • Experience transporting patients to appointments is preferred.
