    YOUR ROLE
    We're seeking an expert Test Automation Engineer to improve and extend our test suite.

    As a tech-forward company, our customers count on us to provide stable and reliable software, and testing is critical to our reputation as a dependable service provider.

    You will play a major role in evaluating our software and ensuring that it always works as intended. Ideal candidates will display leadership qualities and enthusiasm in taking on new problems. Must hate bugs and have a systematic approach to finding and squashing them.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO
    Performs manual and automated testing across multiple software projects and platforms.
    Identifies gaps in code coverage and writes tests independently as needed to cover areas of concern.
    Identifies and fixes failing tests while making recommendations for improvements.
    Utilize manual and automated test strategies to ensure our applications are bug free.
    May lead automation initiatives with direction of more senior automation engineers.
    Demonstrates best practices in various test approaches including functional, end-to-end, and regression testing.
    Utilizes the appropriate technology for optimal code coverage.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
    2-5 years relevant experience testing scalable and functional applications.
    Experience in technology companies and startups using open source technologies including Git, AWS, Linux and modern development environments.
    Familiarity with microservice architecture.
    Familiarity with MVC architecture.
    Degree in Computer Science and/or commensurate work experience and demonstrated aptitude.

    The national salary range for this role is $76,014 to $117,729. The expected starting salary range for this role at Bold Penguin is $86,726 to $111,600.
