Introduction

As a Vacuum Cleaner Expert, your main responsibility is to scrub, polish, disinfect, and fix both carpeted and non-carpeted surfaces with the appropriate tools and chemicals. This role involves operating machinery and rearranging bulky furniture while strictly adhering to safety protocols to prevent any harm to yourself or others.

Working Hours: 3pm-11pm

Compensation: $17 per hour

Responsibilities

• Utilize various equipment for floor maintenance tasks such as automatic scrubbers, floor apparatus, wet/dry vacuums, burnishers, sweepers, pressure washers, and carpet cleaners.

• Dust, clean, and polish floors; remove old finish, refinish, scrub, and/or recoat floors; mechanically clean floors based on the maintenance schedule.

• Organize and collaborate with team members as required to finish floor care assignments as part of broader multi-trade projects.

• Conduct daily preventative maintenance on all equipment in use.

• Potentially handle tasks like adjusting or replacing squeeze blade alignment, hose replacement, and clearing clogged hoses. Flag equipment requiring significant repairs and inform the supervisor accordingly.

• Support the supervisor in inventory management, supply procurement, and ensuring safe chemical and equipment usage as per established standards.

• Assist in training new hires on proper floor care techniques and procedures following company guidelines.

• Willingly participate in general cleaning duties as requested by the supervisor.

Qualifications

A minimum of 1 year of experience or training as a vacuum cleaner expert is necessary. Preferably possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Own transportation required for consistent reliability. Physical fitness to meet job demands is a must. Successful completion of background check and drug screening obligatory as per contractual terms.
