    NEW Permanent RN Charge, OR opening near Charleston, SC

    Job Summary:


    The OR Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the operating room during their designated shift.

    Collaborating with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care according to established policies and procedures.

    They serve as a resource for staff, embody the organization's vision, mission, and values, and strive for an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.


    Responsibilities:

    • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and highquality, patientcentered care.
    • Participate in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment that supports improved outcomes and service.
    • Support a patientfirst philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
    • Implement current nursing strategies to improve engagement, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
    • Provide recommendations for interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
    • Implement courses of action for training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure organizational competitiveness.
    • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor according to patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
    • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

    Qualifications:

    • Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing; Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher required.
    • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice; active Compact/Multi-State RN license preferred.
    • Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider certification required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required.
    • Previous charge nursing experience in the operating room required.
