- Transport individuals in company and/or personal vehicles to various work locations and community activities.
- Assist individuals with meals, hygiene and supports in accordance with person centered plans and plan of service.
- Prepare and pass medication and document as required.
- Complete annual assessments/reports and actively participate in the plan of service meeting as required.
- Attend and actively participate in training sessions, staff meetings and in-services.
- Adhere to corporate health and safety guidelines ensuring a safe and secure environment for individuals and co-workers.
- Maintain appropriate counts of individuals piece work and ensure quality standards are met.
- Act as Liason between LPV and Employment Partners. .
- Possible exposure to violent and/or offensive behavior from individuals served.
- Lift up to 50 lbs, bend and squat (in order to properly perform the techniques taught in FA/CPR and Lifting
- Constantly performs simple motor skills such as driving, walking, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods of time
- 18 years of age or 21 for positions that require the employee to be a driver.
- Have a high school degree or GED. Associates degree preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record with at least 1-year experience in providing direct support to recipients of community human services.
- Experience in vocational training. points.
- Have a safe, insured and registered vehicle.
- Pass background check, negative TB test, and drug screen. add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals;
- Strong organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and public relations skills.
- Trained in First Aide/CPR, Blood borne Pathogens and Infection Control procedures, Recipients Rights. Working knowledge of Gentle Teaching Techniques, Person Centered Planning and Self-Determination practices.

We are looking for a Community Skills Specialist who will provide training to Developmentally Disabled Individuals in vocational settings and in community integrated environments; including volunteer opportunities and social/recreational activities.
