    Position Summary

    The Settlement Specialist is responsible for processing Carrier settlements, supplemental billing, and revenue recognition.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Manage all pay processes including, submitting invoices for payments, resolve discrepancies, and enter location into driver's accounts
    Update and reconcile reserve/security accounts
    Enter the chargebacks consistent with Carrier contracts
    Submit driver chargeback invoices for payment to AP
    Understand and monitor Carrier contracts
    Create weekly reports such as settlement pay sheets and corrections reports
    Apply payables for Carriers and make entries & adjustments for each location
    Scan payroll backup documents
    Make adjustments to settlement sheets if necessary
    File trial balances and other documents as needed
    Print trial balances and checking them against the settlements pay sheets each week
    Sort driver detailed back ups

    Education and Experience

    A minimum of one year in Billing and/or Accounts Receivable is required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word and other MS Office products. Ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate flexibility and patience. Excellent organization, communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.

    Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write English in order to understand and give directions, and to complete paperwork accurately.

    Ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment as dictated by the duties of the job and perform data entry and typing functions.

    Physical Demands and Working Conditions

    Work is primarily performed in a climate controlled environment. Requires sitting, walking, and standing.

    Work performed requires the use of hands to control or feel objects and will utilize repetitive movements when entering data.

    Requires the use of clear speech communicated to others and understanding the speech of another person. Requires the ability to see details of objects within close range.
