    Technical Requirements:

    • Provide bi-weekly or monthly cost tracking, budget analysis, formulation, execution, and monitoring for an assigned group of laboratories to create financial reports.
    • Providing monthly financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders. These stakeholders include NIAID Leadership, VRC Leadership, Principal Investigators, and Gift Fund sources.
    • Create, update, edit and track Inter-Agency Agreements.
    • Monitor non-appropriated funds (ex. Gift Funds, CRADAs).
    • Use financial software and advanced Excel skills (ex. Macros, formulas, PivotTables) for analysis and formulation of actionable financial data.
    • Collaborate with the Information Technology group to develop and expand internal financial systems for cost and funds tracking.
    • Provide support in identifying improvement areas within the VRC Financial group that can benefit from automation
    • Handle and resolve complex financial inquiries (ex. CAN Changes, Prior Year Funds requests) that arise in the daily operations of the office.
    • Assist and communicate with NIAID Budget Office on budget allocation, year-end close, and spend projections.
    • Exercise sound judgment in the safeguarding of files containing confidential and/or sensitive information.
    Qualifications.
    • Bachelors degree in a related field is required.
    • Minimum 4 years of related experience including federal budget tracking.
    • Expertise in Microsoft Office products.
