    Job Description

Kaiyo is an online marketplace dedicated to excellent design, top-notch customer service, and promoting a more sustainable planet. We make interior design hassle-free by offering a platform to buy and sell high-quality secondhand furniture without the stress of dealing with strangers, renting cars, navigating through difficult spaces, and spending hours on assembly. Our experienced team takes care of all the complexities, making the process seamless for our customers.

As we continue our rapid expansion in New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles, we are looking to add a Process Trainer to our team. Reporting to our Director of Operational Excellence (Training), this role plays a crucial part in ensuring that our Field and Warehouse Operators receive training that aligns with Kaiyo's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety protocols. We need someone with a strong background in training, industry expertise, and excellent communication skills to help our team members consistently meet and exceed performance expectations.

    What You'll Do:

    • Develop training materials such as presentations, manuals, videos, and job aids to support the learning of delivery drivers and refurbishing associates.
    • Conduct engaging training sessions that cover various aspects of furniture delivery and refurbishing, including safety procedures, customer service, product knowledge, and refurbishment techniques.
    • Lead by example and demonstrate professional behavior for all operators.
    • Provide comprehensive orientation and onboarding for new team members to ensure they grasp company processes, values, and expectations.
    • Offer hands-on training during real-life scenarios to help team members apply their learning effectively and boost their confidence.
    • Regularly assess training effectiveness through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics, making improvements as needed.
    • Collaborate with experts and stakeholders to enhance training content based on insights gathered.

    Candidate Requirements:

    • Prior experience as a process trainer, preferably in furniture delivery, logistics, or refurbishing.
    • Thorough knowledge of furniture handling, safety protocols, customer service, and refurbishing techniques.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex concepts clearly.
    • Ability to create training materials using various tools and platforms.
    • Adaptability to cater training approaches to different learning styles.
    • Analytical mindset to evaluate and enhance training programs.
    • Strong organizational skills to manage training schedules and materials effectively.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry furniture items of various weights, work collaboratively with team members, and follow proper lifting practices.
    • Pushing and Pulling: Proficiency in handling furniture carts, exerting force, and maneuvering items through tight spaces.
    • Bending and Stooping: Readiness to bend, stoop, and kneel to demonstrate proper handling techniques.
    • Standing and Walking: Comfort with prolonged periods of standing and walking during training sessions.
    • Dexterity: Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate tools and materials effectively.
    • Physical Endurance: Stamina to maintain physical effort throughout training sessions.
    • PPE Compliance: Use of personal protective equipment for safety.
    • Communication: Clear and engaging communication during training sessions.

The role of Process Trainer for Furniture Delivery Drivers and Furniture Refurbishing Associates involves hands-on training in a dynamic environment, showcasing physical capabilities in furniture handling techniques.
