    Assistant Buyer

    Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc.     Position Summary: The Assistant Buyer purchases materials and services to support the organization.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Receive purchasing requests.

    Identify potential suppliers.

    Submit Request for Quote to suppliers as requested by project engineer / manager.

    Negotiate pricing and delivery schedules from suppliers.

    Contact suppliers and expedite deliveries as required.

    Issue and accurately enter Purchase orders, Change order requests, etc., into the ERP system.

    Daily contact with Engineers/Project Managers/Supervisors to strategize order priority.

    Daily contact with suppliers to confirm scheduled deliveries, etc.

    Work within MRP system to obtain PO approvals.

    Work with Quality Assurance to measure and report supplier performance.

    Work with Quality Assurance and suppliers on resolving issues with nonconforming materials; track and schedule replacement materials.

    Basic Qualifications/Skills:

    High school diploma or GED required.

    Associates degree from Technical school or minimum 2 years related experience.

    Prior experience with Purchasing, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Control.

    Good verbal and written communication skills.

    Good computer skills - MS Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook, and MRP systems preferred.

    Must be well organized and detail oriented.

    Ability to handle varied tasks in fast-paced environment.
