Description

Primary Responsibilities
Design, develop and implement innovative warehouse automation system solutions including storage systems, material handling equipment and automation.
Create, maintain, and update CAD drawings to demonstrate designs of supply chain systems & buildings.

Create concept, design approval, and IFC (issue-for-construction) drawing sets for systems, modules, whole buildings, and building sites to include logistics truck/trailer yards.

Generate engineered drawings in plan-view, elevation view, and 3D.
Utilize visualization tools to create dynamic fly-through visuals of concept designs, integrating multiple technical supply chain solutions.
Establishing and document engineered standards for supply chain facility drawings.
Utilize software systems to generate Flow analysis of concept designs, identification congestion points in product flow.
Utilize simulation systems to perform bottleneck & cycle time analysis
CAD drawing generation for consolidation of vendor drawings, vendor red-line reviews, and composite drawing consolidations
Cross functional team leadership to drive alignment on design scope and design deliverables
Cross functional leadership and partnering on overall DC network design, including node type and location for key logistics operations
Leadership and mentoring of junior engineers.
Coordination & maintenance of CAD and software licensing, hardware requirements and user requirements.
Cross training of CAD to the engineering team

Professional Skills/Experience/Education
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Proficiency in AutoCad and 3D drawing generation
Proficiency in 3D visualization and fly-through video creation for concept designs
2 years of engineering work experience OR equivalent internship experience (Distribution, Fulfillment or Manufacturing)
Experience in Distribution or Fulfillment facility design, or manufacturing supply chain operations design
Experience in evaluating and implementing Automation solutions
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Engineering economics, simulation modeling, and advanced data and analytics
