General Position Description
Responsible for providing leadership to the Florida Department of Education Workforce Development Capitalization Incentive Grant (CAP) from project inception to completion, including the creation of project plans, management of the budget, hiring and supervision of personnel, allocation of resources, communication of the project objectives, implementation of activities, and evaluation of grant outcomes. Ensures all project requirements are met by key grant personnel in accordance with federal and state regulations within time and budget constraints. Develops strategic plans in alignment with project objectives and college goals for successful execution and delivery.

Description of Job Function
1. Directs and provides oversight for the planning and implementation of all grant activities including outreach to high schools and technical school centers; monitors activities to ensure that all objectives are met in accordance with established timelines.

2. Partners with the Dean and other subject matter experts to develop, manage, and implement program infrastructure for two dual enrollment pathways for Semiconductor and Laser and Photonic college credit certificates. Oversees the curriculum approval process in collaboration with other college leadership.

Guides and leads the grant project team to continuously review, plan, and assess the needs of the project; ensures quality control measures are in place with appropriate follow up as needed to assure successful project outcomes. Plans, organizes, and conducts meetings with strategic partners and other college leadership.

4. Utilizes data to make informed decisions; identifies potential problems, develops solutions, and modifies plan as needed to keep project on track. Escalates to college leadership when required.
5. Manages the grant program budget in collaboration with the appropriate Accountable Administrator and the Grants Accounting Office.

Required Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.

General Working Conditions
This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
