- Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of developing and implementing our comprehensive Behavioral Health program, policies, and procedures according to federal, state and local regulations; and current practice of post-acute and long-term care medicine.
- Participate in the hiring of our Behavioral Team, with goals of supporting 100+ skilled nursing facilities across 7 states.
- Coordinate medical care, including emergency treatment procedures, maintain effective liaison with attending physicians, and implement methods to keep the quality of care under constant surveillance.
- Provide necessary Behavioral Health services for those residents within the skilled nursing facilities and/or clinic environment
- M.D. or D.O. required
- ABPN board certified preferred
- Experience in Geriatric Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry and Substance Use Disorder required
- MD or DO license
- 5+ years of experience working with long-term care population preferred
- Demonstrated experience working with and educating NP's, LISW's and Psychologists
- Health care management/leadership experience
- Familiarity with CMS, Medicare Advantage, SNP Rules and Regulations
- Inpatient/SNF utilization metrics and bed day management
- State specific collaborative practice agreements and midlevel practitioner licensing
- Knowledge of EMR
