Experienced Service Writer / Advisor

Jr. Davis Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and vast knowledge in truck parts to fill the position of a Service Writer. This person will be responsible for all light and heavy duty truck services and repairs. This person should be able to work independently with the ability to research and resource parts for expedited repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule all fleet service appointments in-house and contracted out to dealers.
• Track all services and repairs of light and heavy duty truck fleet.
• Maintain communication between the shop and drivers of vehicles.
• Research warranty and recall information on all light and heavy duty trucks.
• Order parts needed for all in-house fleet services.
• Receive and distribute parts for services.
• Communicate with the shop lead on parts status.
• Maintain vendor relationships with all service resources.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

Experience:

• High School Diploma / G.E.D
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Two years of previous service writer experience
• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Great communication skills
• Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language
