    Senior Tax Analyst Opportunity in a Global Automotive Supplier

    Our client, a prominent global automotive supplier servicing major OEMs, is currently seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to contribute to the establishment and growth of their tax department, fostering a collaborative environment.

    As the Senior Tax Analyst, you will directly report to the Manager of Tax Compliance and reporting, contributing to the completion of global tax provisions and US domestic tax compliance obligations. This role presents an exceptional opportunity for professionals transitioning from public accounting to their inaugural industry position or those already engaged in sophisticated tax departments within a corporate environment.

    As a Senior Tax Analyst, your pivotal responsibilities will include:

    • Assisting in the preparation of US GAAP consolidated income tax provisions compliant with ASC 740, including data collection, tax issue research, and detailed work paper preparation.
    • Coordinating with external service providers for the preparation and review of US federal and state income tax returns, handling inquiries, complex adjustments, and issue resolution.
    • Supporting federal and state income tax return audits and preparing projections for tax payments.
    • Providing guidance on indirect taxes to US business units and overseeing external resources for support.
    • Strengthening the tax team's reputation through timely, practical, and efficient support to business units and other functions.
    • Initiating improvements in tax-related processes and policies, emphasizing automation and efficiency enhancements.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • 3+ years of tax experience encompassing state income tax laws and ASC 740.
    • Background in either public accounting or corporate tax preferred.
    • Familiarity with US federal and international tax rules.
