Progressive Care Unit
Patient Population: Trauma, High flow and ARVO Oxygenation systems, Vasoactive Drips, Chest pain, Stroke, Sepsis, Covid
Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs. Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions. Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment, and professional development.
Patient Ratios: 1:3 or 1:4
Number of Beds: 32 beds
Department Specifics: 77% BSN, Multidisciplinary Rounding (with Physicians, Case Management, PT/OT, etc.) for best patient outcomes and quickest recovery. Self-scheduling request system. We encourage our team to be involved in the unit through our Unit Based Council, education opportunities and other opportunities provided.
A Magnet Recognized Facility,in a 302-bed hospital offering advanced medical services for heart and vascular, women's health, diagnostic imaging, trauma, orthopedics, spine, digestive diseases, oncology, neurology, ENT, pain management, weight loss and intensive and emergency care.
Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Level II Trauma Center in Northeast Tarrant County. Additionally, the facility is an accredited Cycle IV Chest Pain Center, Primary Stroke Center and accredited in weight loss surgery, oncology, etc.
