Job DescriptionAs an Echocardiogram Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests using ultrasound equipment to produce images of patients' hearts. You will work closely with physicians, cardiovascular technologists, and other healthcare professionals to assist in the diagnosis of various heart conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform echocardiogram procedures on patients to obtain images of the heart
Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them
Analyze images and provide preliminary findings to the physician
Assist in the interpretation of test results and communicate findings to the physician
Maintain equipment and ensure it is in proper working order
Keep accurate records of procedures performed
Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or a related field
Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
Knowledge of echocardiogram procedures and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and accuracy
Physical ability to stand for long periods and move equipment
Good computer skills
