    Hybrid Technician

    Location: Springfield, VA with Frequent Travel

    Contingent Upon Contract Award

    Overview: PD Systems has a contingent requirement for a Hybrid Technician to retrofit light-duty trucks into plug-in hybrids and provide train-the-trainer programs to customers. Proprietary system training will be provided. Relocation is not required as this contingent requirement is highly mobile in nature.

    Responsibilities: The successful candidate will retrofit and train others to retrofit light-duty trucks using a proprietary hybrid system. Responsibilities include installation, maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repair of the hybrid system; developing a learner-focused training program; and measuring student outcomes to continually enhance student performance objectives. Frequent travel is required.

    Education and Experience:

  • Must possess five or more years' experience with hybrid automotive systems.
  • Must possess at least three years' experience as an automotive instructor.
  • Must possess a minimum of eight years' experience with automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Must be fluent in English and able to clearly articulate complex tasks and concepts.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly desired.
  • ASE L3 certification is strongly desired.
  • Other Specific Requirements:

  • Must Be a US Citizen
  • Must provide a signed DD Form 3150 to confirm COVID-19 vaccination status and provide proof of vaccination.
