Key Responsibilities:
Operational lead linking the Product Development, Sales, Procurement and Factory Operations activities, to drive profitable and sustainable growth.
Elements of the role:
People Management
Liaison between Sales, NPD & Operations
Operational strategy implementation
Oversight of forecasting & demand planning
Operational cost management and costing (i.e., production cost recovery)
Problem Solving
Decision making – balance commercial, operational & technical aspects.
Stock control – manage risk of write-offs.
Key Functional Areas:
Commercial & Strategic:
(40%)
Act as liaison between manufacturing operations and sales to drive growth.
Drive annual gifting division commercial strategy and budgets.
Work with Account Managers to analyse sales and identify sales opportunities in both the local and export markets.
Problem solve, streamline, and optimize internal processes for gifting.
Production cost recovery calculations for new products
Operational Implementation:
(60%)
Co-ordinate with NPD and Procurement departments to facilitate timely launch of new products.
Troubleshoot production for new and existing products.
Oversee procurement to ensure on time delivery and responsible ordering.
Drive production orders through the system to meet customer needs.
Oversee annual operational plan and demand planning for standard range of gifts.
Problem solve product development and operational issues.
Required Prior Learning/ Experience
Relevant Tertiary qualification (BCom, BSc, Project Management or Business Management advantageous)
3-5 year's working experience in related role
