CHICAGO EDGE SOCCER CLUB is a youth soccer club based in the Oak Park/River Forest community of Chicago.

Role Description

This is a full-time or part-time on-site role as a Youth Soccer Coach located in Oak Park, IL; the position is flexible and could constitute anything from 8 hours a week to 25 hours per week in Fall, Winter, and Spring, depending on the individual. We are also looking for summer camp coaches on short-term contracts from June to August. The coach will be responsible for coaching and training youth soccer players, developing practice plans, organizing and overseeing soccer matches, and providing guidance and support to players. They will also foster a positive and inclusive team environment, promote sportsmanship and fair play, and help players develop their soccer skills and knowledge.

Qualifications

Prior coaching experience in youth soccer
Strong knowledge of soccer rules, techniques, and strategies
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient and supportive attitude towards players
Ability to motivate and inspire youth players
Valid coaching certifications (e.g., US Soccer Grassroots License)
Passion for youth development and promoting a love for soccer
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
A background check will be required
