Now is a great time to join our Mountain Home Team We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager who will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing the Engineering department.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise, provide functional guidance and direct assignments and responsibilities of the Engineering Department.
Define competencies required for successful performance and ensures that employees receive appropriate motivation, recognition and training development opportunities for continuing career growth.
Develop and promote a team environment and culture in alignment with the overall organizational vision, mission, values, philosophy and goals.
Define goals and objectives consistent with business strategy by investigation information sources and by working with key individuals.Evaluate employee's performance and provide regular feedback (formally and informally) regarding strengths and development needs.
Develop employees and assists in preparing them for new assignments and roles, and champion continuous learning for all employees. Interviews and selects new employees when vacancies occur.
Disseminates information to employees, ensuring a high level of communication among the group.
Safeguards employees' personal well-being.
Maintains professional and ethical standards at all times; leads the team in supporting the company's commitment to ethics.
It is the responsibility of the employee to uphold the highest standards of ethical behavior in our day-to-day work decisions and actions.
Supervise product, plant and manufacturing engineering projects and initiatives with regard to feasibility, cost, and timeliness. Reviews project plans using project management techniques to ensure adherence to sound project management criteria.Supervise the qualification of new products and raw material to be incorporated into manufacturing.
Support development of accurate hose cost structure via supervision of bills of materials and routers and periodic audit of bills of materials and routers to ensure accuracy.
Monitor capital expenditures in order to insure control within budgetary limitations.Background & Skills
Required (Basic) Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum three years (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum three years (3) years of experience in a management or proven leadership role.
Must be authorized to work in The United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in business or engineering from and accredited institution.
Experience in hose or rubber manufacturing
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in in a management or supervisory role.
Continuous improvement familiarity.
