Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts in the Intermediate Care unit
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with 13-week contract length
• 4:1 patient ratio in a fast-paced environment
• Every other weekend and every other holiday schedule required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, typically to higher acuity units
• May be placed on call during low census periods with 2-hour minimum call back
• Care for patients with heavy telemetry, stable weaning vents/trach, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleeds, chest tubes, TBI, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
• Manage primary patients and insulin drips
• Must work independently and complete tasks in timely manner
• Any color scrubs permitted

Required certifications:
Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS

• Minimum 2+ years experience required with stepdown/intermediate/PCU experience mandatory
• ICU experience and Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Ventilator/trach experience required
• At least 1 prior travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Must be outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Associate degree or certificate required, bachelor's degree preferred

This healthcare facility operates a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit specializing in high-acuity patient care.

The facility provides comprehensive services for complex medical conditions including trauma care, critical care step-down patients, and specialized treatment for neurological and orthopedic conditions.
