    Fire Protection Engineer III,

    you will be a viable member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing safety and fire protection topics.

    Key Activities

    Create safety concepts for passenger rail vehicles regarding fire protection and evacuation

    Create fire risk analysis

    Create specifications for internal and external customers

    Interpret and incorporate local, federal as well as customer requirements into system design

    Define procurement documentation, type testing and commissioning documentation

    Approval of materials, products and components in regards to fire protection

    Compiling fire protection documentation for regulatory bodies, agencies and customers

    Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines

    Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration

    Qualifications

    BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering

    Independent and well-structured working methods for integrating multiple projects, conducting testing and preparing all deliverables associated with the system

    Excellent communication, technical writing, problem solving and teamwork skills

    Minimum 5 years of experience with fire protection in railway, defense, aerospace, automotive or similar industries

    Experience with NFPA 130 is a plus

    Able to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment

    Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative in order to maintain project timelines

    Business fluent in English (German is a plus)
