    Job Description

    As Procurement Business Partner, you will lead efforts to drive supply base improvement:

    In partnership with Global Commodity Management, Product Sourcing Engineering, and the Business, define supplier category strategies to meet the specific needs of the business.

    In partnership with Supplier Quality, support supplier quality and performance improvement initiatives.

    In partnership with Sustaining teams, initiate and support projects to minimize risk, manage cost and align the business with the supplier category strategies.

    In this role, you are responsible for:

    Representing Procurement for project or supplier related activities, ensuring relevant cross-functional stakeholders are informed and involved.

    Leading supplier selection and make vs. buy decisions in alignment with the category strategies, delivering maximum supplier performance for our business.

    Ensuring that Procurement related risks (cost, quality, availability) are controlled and mitigated.

    Developing business cases and initial project proposals in support of supplier changes, ensuring full cross-functional buy-in and embracement.

    Ensuring proper funding and staffing of procurement projects to meet the productivity and risk mitigation objectives.

    Managing change towards supplier, providing specifications to supplier, ensuring agreement and full implementation up to IT systems, involving Commodity Management if commercial discussion required.

    Managing supplier capacity against requirements for sustaining projects.

    Creating Procurement deliverables as part of project plan: Sourcing Plan, Supplier Selection, Release to Production.

    Partnering with Global Commodity Management to support price negotiations with opportunities to drive short and long term cost reduction improvement.

    Providing supplier information and business requirements to Global Commodity Management in support of negotiations and supplier business reviews.

    Capturing supplier innovation in product and business creation to optimize propositions and achieve the best value for Philips and its customers.

    You're the right fit if you have a customer-first attitude and the following:

    Bachelors/Masters Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Engineering Management, and 10+ years related professional

    Experience working with suppliers in Class-III Medical Device field is highly preferred

    Experience working with diverse technologies (i.e., molding, extrusion, precision metals, electronics, etc.)

    Experience with diverse suppliers technologies and processes

    Experience creating business cases to drive improvements in productivity, risk, and performance

    Ability to coordinate all relevant cross-functional stakeholders around assigned product portfolio

    Experience translating business needs into procurement solutions for the assigned areas

    Proven ability to deliver results in supplier selection, management, negotiation, capacity planning, and risk management

    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver to project milestones

    Ability to manage and work within a matrixed organization.

    Philips Transparency Details

    The pay range for this position is $160,000 to $240,000, annually. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors including, job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

    In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
