    Position: JuniorControls Engineer

    Duration: 1 year + extensions& direct hire opportunity

    Location: Ft Wayne, IN - 25% travel to Warren, MI

    Shift: 1st Shift, must be flexible to work off shifts as needed, weekend work every other weekend

    Compensation: $30-$40/hr

    Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

    Must Haves:

    • 0-3 years of experience as a controls/automation engineer
    • MUST HAVE Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering OR 3 years of experience as a controls engineer with an associate's degree

    Plusses:

    • Experience programming Allen Bradley PLCs
    • Experience working in a manufacturing plant floor

    Day to Day:

    Insight Global is looking for a Jr Controls Engineer for a large Automotive OEM in Ft Wayne, IN. The controls engineer will be programming Allen Bradley PLCs and supporting the production line. You will be going on layout meetings, ensuring the project runs efficiently and is meeting deadlines, and troubleshooting on the production line as needed.

    Additional Responsibilities include:


    • New program implementation/execution (SOR prep, forecasting, controls/robotics design, equipment build/run-off and buyoff)


    • Design, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high-quality parts


    • Manage deliveries to program timing milestones


    • Provide project report outs to senior management


    • Existing program/site support (troubleshooting, etc.)


    • Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with all customers/plants


    • Provide technical direction to less experienced controls engineers.


    • Design and troubleshooting of electrical controls systems


    • Work may involve development and testing of advanced process technology
