Tool Coordinator (Tooling Services)Company:
The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Tool Coordinator to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests.
- Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues. Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards.
- Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts.
- Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products.
- Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements.
- Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests.
- Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services.
- Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules.
- Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications.
- Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products.
- Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution. Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory.
- Works under limited supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
- 1+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
- 1+ years of experience do you have managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
- 1+ years of experience working with suppliers in a technical capacity
- 1+ years of experience with MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 3+ years of experience do you have in root cause analysis and Corrective action?
- 3+ years of experience with various contract types for example: Time & Materials, Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically, 3 or more years' related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degrees (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred but not required.
Relocation:

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
$65,450 - $80,850
