- Repairs and maintains production equipment
- Performs complex troubleshooting of electrical, controls, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Dismantles, moves, assembles, installs and repairs all types of conventional and NC/automatic machine tools
- Reads and interprets blueprints, operating and repair manuals and often works from verbal instructions.
- Sets up and operates conventional machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or fabricate new parts.
- May orient, train, assign and check the work of lower grade technicians and operators.
- Able to set-up and implement projects and systems, set-up and operate conventional shop tools and fabricating equipment to repair/make parts such as drill press, grinder, band saw, taps, solder, etc.
- Ability to dismantle, install, upgrade equipment of fairly complicated design from blue prints, detailed drawings or instructions/sketches.
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must be able to use small hand tools.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. regularly and perform continuous, active, physical effort.
- Prolonged period(s) of standing required.
- 8 hour shift
